These last two weeks, I’ve pulled back the curtains and showed some of what’s going on in our neighborhoods. I told you about that Super Tuesday in 2012 when Wall Street guys in suits showed up to bid against local investors and bought 900 homes in one go.
How that was the start of a major shift in our housing market.
Now, in some cities, large corporations are buying three out of ten single family homes for rentals. Add to that inflation and rising interest rates, and homeownership is now out of reach for average Americans.
That's not the American Dream we grew up with.
74% of us still aspire to own a home, but nearly half think it's out of reach.
